How does the HIFU facelift work?
The area being treated is heated causing an immediate contraction of the collagen fibres and an increase in the metabolism of the fibroblastin.
Together these boost the production of new collagen fibres and elastin fibres, creating a smoother, healthier and younger looking skin.
What to expect at your treatment
First, we apply glycerine to the skin which acts as a conductor for the heat energy. A small handpiece is then placed on the skin and moved in gentle circular motions.
The handpiece gets warmer, building to 40 degrees – we use an infrared thermometer to monitor the heat of the skin.
Once the temperature has reached 40 degrees, we continue treatment on the area for 2-4 minutes, before moving onto the next treatment area.
What results can I expect?
Results can be seen after your first treatment.
After four weeks you’ll see a visible improvement in the appearance of facial contouring and fine lines, with further improvement in facial skin tightening and wrinkles appearance seen for up to 6 months. Results last 12-18 months.
